Adult Services
ACT is a leader in ABA adult services in the Madison area. We work closely with consumers and support teams to extend inclusive opportunities, address barriers and identify skill development needs to expand engagement and inclusion for consumers.
Vocational Training (IRIS Provider)
As the only ABA-based vocational provider, we strive for neurodiversity in our community. It’s our goal to provide everyone we work with the opportunity to find their life’s path by including them in the work setting, inclusive community settings, and increased independence. Bringing the science of learning to vocational, home, and community settings ACT works with consumers to achieve goals to extend community involvement.
ACT collaborates with area Job Developers to assist consumers in job placement opportunities. ACT provides job coaching and support for consumers to maximize their independence in the work setting by utilizing the science of learning.
Independence Skill Development
ACT uses assessments to identify skill development needs for consumers. A skill development plan of care will assist in achieving goals that can enhance levels of independence in the home and community. From utilization of public transportation to food preparation there are skills that can be taught to open up opportunities for consumers. Areas of focus are specific to your needs and desires from expansion of leisure skills, development of exercise routines, to independent daily functioning.
Behavior Support and Training
A Functional Behavior Assessment is used to address behaviors of concern that may be barriers for consumers to fulfill goals and desires. ACT will conduct assessments and work with consumers and their support teams to address these barriers. Our experience-based approach can bring new approaches to support teams to maintain a relaxed and engaged setting for consumers.
ACT is not a long-term support agency for consumers. Our 6-month plan of care review will detail our collaboration in transitioning to a long-term support agency of the consumers choosing.
