On-going Autism Behavior Therapy

Ongoing Autism Behavior Therapy

Research has shown the earlier we can provide appropriate behavioral interventions for children with autism the better the outcomes, but it has been proven treatment continues to be effective if you start at age 5….or age 25. ACT has an intervention model for you wherever you and your family are on your journey.

Intensive level services are available for families needing over 20 hours a week of 1:1 ABA therapy to make measurable gains in all areas of social and family life. ACT designs all services to meet your child and family’s needs and learning styles.  Intensive services can take place in the home, day-care centers, and during community outings. Families typically qualify for 4 years of intensive level services and must have availability during the school day.

Non-intensive level services are available for families requiring under 20 hours a week of 1:1 ABA therapy. During the non-intensive treatment model, focus often shifts to areas of highest priority for the family, parent training opportunities and parent participation. Family and ACT staff work together towards increasing your child’s independence and quality of life, both in the home and in the community. Non-intensive services are typically provided for two years, but that varies based on setting, degree of consistency and clinical appropriateness of on-going treatment.
